1. Apply a silver basecoat then top with clear coat, let dry
2.Choose several colors of paste water-colors to make up colored glaze, then using small balled up pieces of soft cloth, randomly dab on the colors.
3. Use a small stiff brush to flick on flyspecks of each colorant to add more color and effect. Then take a damp cloth pad and dab the colors. Apply a few coats of clear finish.
Collage of Colors:

2. Using masking tape, create a border . Mottle black glaze to make a marble effect, then use a cloth dampened with mineral spirits to soften the look.
3. Remove the tape and paint the border black, let dry, then use several coats of clear finish to protect and preserve the finish.

1. Apply a gold basecoat then top with clear coat, let dry
2.Using Van Dyke Brown mottle on before it dries
2. Use extra glazing around the outside to accent the project
Let dry then apply clearcoats to protect the finished piece.

3. Accent with black striping and seal with clearcoats, let dry
